Course overview
Build your confidence speaking French as you learn the basic vocabulary needed to enable you to get out and about and to talk about yourselves and others, in this fun, interactive course.

Monday, 6:15pm - 8:15pm from 8th January 2024 until 18th March 2024 for 10 weeks.
No class on 12th February (Half Term)
Cost
The full fee is £139.00.
The concessionary fee is £70.00.
What you already need to know
The Introduction to French course that ran in the Autumn introduced students to some of the vocabulary and basic language skills. New students who have a few French words or who wish to refresh knowledge gained on holiday or in school are welcome to join.
What you will learn
Topics will include:
- Greeting people and introducing yourself and others including family members
- Ordering food and drink in a cafe or restaurant
- Shopping for groceries in a supermarket or a food shop
- Talking about hobbies and activities
- Describing your free time and daily routine
You will be learning how to use verbs in the present tense
How you will learn it
This is an interactive course that is taught using a range of methods including:
- Practical application
- Tutor-led tuition
- Video and listening exercises
- Participating in role-playing
- Individual and group sharing of resources and knowledge via Padlet
Bring to the first session
- Pen and paper
- French dictionary (optional)
Extra study or practice
None required, but practising your vocabulary between classes will help you during the lessons.
