Eco Printing - creative textiles ***COURSE CANCELLED*** (UC09G17D)

Course overview

Eco-printing is a form of natural dyeing which uses heat, moisture and pressure to permanently transfer the plant's pigments to cloth. In this course you will learn the basic techniques of eco-printing and then use your dyed fabric to create a piece of textile art. Taking influences from nature and folk art symbolism, your textile creation will be embellished with wood-block printing, applique and hand stitching. In this fun and lively workshop you will, quite literally, capture nature to create a unique work of art.
