Course overview

This is a QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid course taught over 1 day.

Ideal for those requiring the EFAW qualification and those wanting to have up to date First Aid knowledge for home and everyday life.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded a Level 3 EFAW award which is valid for three years.

This is an interactive course where you will be expected to participate in the exercises used to administer first aid. Please do not be put off if you have a disability that makes some of the activities difficult. The tutor will endeavour to ensure that any disability does not prohibit participation.
Where Uckfield Civic Centre, Civic Approach, Uckfield, East Sussex, TN22 1AE.
When Monday, 09:30am - 5:30pm on 17th October 2022 for 1 day.
Cost The full fee is £110.00.

During the course

Safety whilst learning remains a top priority. No resuscitation equipment will be shared and training will include how to keep safe whilst administering First Aid.

How you will learn it

Through a variety of teaching methods including group work, presentation and demonstration, discussion and practical skills application.

You will be assessed during the course on your practical skills and at the end of the course there is a short multiple choice paper to complete and pass. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded a Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work which is valid for three years.

Bring to the first session

AS THIS IS A REGULATED QUALSAFE AWARD COURSE, COULD YOU PLEASE BRING ONE FORM OF PHOTOGRAPHIC ID WITH YOU.
Bring paper, pen and a clipboard or something to lean on, and wear comfortable clothing.
Please note this course requires a demonstration of competency in administering Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) which involves kneeling on the floor. You may choose to bring a mat / cushion with you. If you are unable to kneel, please inform the tutor who will endeavour to ensure that any disability does not prohibit participation.

Extra study or practice

To consolidate the teaching and learning during the course, there is an expectation that you complete at least 2 hours of post course reading with provided materials.
