During the course

This course will mainly be taught at Claverham Community College, some lessons and assessments may take place online. If government guidelines recommend further lockdowns, this course will continue online. You will stay with the same tutor for all classes whether at the venue or online.

The pre course "meet your tutor" and any online elements of the course will be done via the Google Meet video platform. To ensure you get the most out of the course and can fully participate in any online sessions you will interact with your tutor and other students through speaking, listening and the chat function, as well as being able to see each other via the video links, though you can turn off your camera and microphone at any time. You will therefore need to have access to either a laptop, computer or tablet / ipad (this ideally needs to be less than 5 years old), with a camera / webcam and microphone, as well as a good broadband / Wi-Fi connection.

You may decide that you would like to create a separate email account for your online learning prior to the start of the course and let the ACRES' Office and your tutor know the address. This will be more secure and also allow you to share your email address with other students on the course to enhance your learning experience, without disclosing your personal information.

IMPORTANT
Some end of course assessments will take place in Uckfield.
You will be kept informed by your tutor and ACRES as soon as the dates become available. Exams are typically held early in June and you should be preparing for that to be the end of your course but we recommend that you do not book any holidays before the end of June.

To avoid missing lessons due on Bank Holidays there will be 2 additional classes on Tuesday evenings. Please note these dates as they are part of the course.
Monday 2nd January lesson will be on Tuesday 3rd January
