Learn the art of wet felting and create a variety of bright flowers to wear as a stunning corsage or decorate your home with.
Course overview
This course will introduce you to the skills and techniques needed to create different flowers. A great course for beginners and those with some experience.
Where Uckfield College, Downsview Crescent, Uckfield, East Sussex, TN22 3DJ.
When
Monday, 6:30pm - 8:45pm from 6th June 2022 until 20th June 2022 for 3 weeks.
Cost
The full fee is £81.00.
What you already need to know
You do not need to have any previous knowledge of felting.
What you will learn
- The processes needed to wet felt flat and 3D projects.
- How to pull off wool fibres from a wool top.
- How to lay the wool fibres during a project to ensure the project is firm and strong.
- The processes of needle felting to make 3D projects.
- How to needle felt embellishments to decorate the projects.
How you will learn it
- Tutor demonstration, the tutor will model each stage needed to needle felt.
- One to one support
- The encouragement of exploring your projects online, along with suggested books and websites.
Bring to the first session
- Washing up bowl
- Rubber gloves
- An old towel.
Materials included in the course fee.
3 needles, a foam pad, a bamboo mat, water sprinkler, soap, and wool

We ask individuals to continue to respect the personal choices of their tutor and fellow students.
- ACRES will continue to supply hand sanitisers in all classrooms
- Students will still be able to work social distanced or on separate tables if this is their choice
- Sharing of equipment will continue to be kept to a minimum, and wipes/spray provided for cleaning being handling
- Tutors and students may or may not choose to wear face coverings
