An introduction into the ancient Chinese art of Qi Gong and Tai Chi.

Cost The full fee is £58.00.

What you already need to know

No experience is required, just a curiosity to learn and a willingness to give it a go. New and previous learners are welcome.
Please note, you will be asked to complete a pre-course health questionnaire before the first session.

What you will learn

An introduction to the eight silk brocade moves that you can take away and practice at home or come back and develop further with Allan.
The health benefits and positive impact of Qi Gong and the ancient Chinese arts are only now being understood by modern medicine.

Please wear comfortable loose clothing and socks. (No jeans and trainers, please)

** Please bring a packed lunch as food is not provided at the venue.** Tea, coffee and biscuits are available for purchase during breaks.

Extra study or practice

This is a one day course, no previous study is necessary.

Allan studied and practised Yang Tai Chi early in the 1980s and has continued studying Chinese philosophy through the writing of Lao Tzu. More recently, Allan studied the Eternal Spring Qi Gong and, with the blessing of his teacher, now passes on his experience, knowledge and learnings to you.

Specific Covid Considerations:
In the event of restrictions being reintroduced and if the class is remaining in the venue, you will be informed of further safety measures. If the lessons cannot take place because the tutor has to isolate or in the event of government-imposed restrictions or lockdowns, every effort will be made to reschedule the missed classes. If it is not possible to continue the course in the venue it will be continued online. If this is not possible we will refund the outstanding lessons.

To ensure Safe Practice during practical sessions:

You must not attend the class if you show signs or symptoms of Covid-19, are awaiting results of a PCR Covid test, have been in close contact with a Covid-19 patient within 14 days or anyone who has been advised to self isolate for any reason. Please inform the ACRES' office, who will advise the tutor.

All tutors, students and visitors are encouraged to participate in rapid lateral flow testing in the interest of everybody's safety, however, this is not a mandatory requirement. Test kits are readily available locally or from the gov website.
