How you will learn it
You will learn which clays will be appropriate for different tasks and how clay is manipulated to create different forms in ceramic design. The tutor will demonstrate various techniques, students will then have the opportunity to create their own pieces of work.
Before and after using any shared equipment, students will be asked to wash their hands.
Bring to the first session
- Pen or pencil and apron.
- During the first session, you will be advised on a list of tools that you may like to use during the course. Most of these can be found at home.
Materials will be provided for small and medium-sized pieces of work.
Larger items can be produced, and additional materials can be purchased from the tutor, or the tutor can advise where to buy clay and equipment if you choose to create large works of art. Speak to your tutor if you are unsure.
