How you will learn it

skills of creative writing.
- by considering the work of established writers as inspiration for your own writing.
- by sharing your work and discussing both your own and your fellow students' development.

What do I need to bring to the first session?

A creative notebook you can use for the whole course, pens, enthusiasm, and a love of stories.

How much extra study or practice is involved?

There may be homework set in between sessions in the form of writing exercises and reading handouts. I may sometimes ask you to research the subject for the next lesson. This is mainly optional but occasionally will be needed for the next session. You will also be encouraged to read widely and develop a regular writing habit. You will be expected to share your writing at least once during the course.
